I was fortunate to meet Frances Naty Go and discover her wonderful talents as a web developer! Because of her skills, patience, and lessons I have a beautiful WordPress, mobile-friendly website and I can make changes myself! Frances has made it so easy for me to make edits and add content even though I have no technical skills. Frances provides excellent customer service and with her attention to detail, my site’s security, analytics, and email provider links work seamlessly. I picked Brand and Mortar due to their reputation, reliability and known resources in the community. We signed a contract in May of 2021, with my needs heavily outlined of building an extensive website with cutting edge plugins and a custom functionality. After numerous follow-ups, they were confident they could meet my needs and we signed. It was extremely pricy, but I knew because of the functionality needed, it was needed. Once the wireframes (website outlines) were approved in October (they looked amazing), it was a contracted 9 weeks until I had my website in hand. I was so beyond ecstatic. Glad I chose Brand and Mortar to create this for us. Well, December rolls around, I want to confirm I will have the website mid January and it's confirmed! My website will be live! Well, they forward the "finished" website and it's a joke. Is is nothing as contracted and then I get told they need more time. So we wait, then the next deadline gets pushed and continues to get pushed. I couldn't wait anymore when I can see they don't have the skills to create when they agreed upon. Up until this point, I've been waiting to hear back from the owner and he won't respond to my emails. The amount I have paid, for this quickly slapped together website is beyond ridiculous. They're communication is severely lacking, the professionalism was there, but slowly dissipated once they received my money. Their marketing background is where they should focus their business when website design is clearly not their expertise yet.

What started out as a simple logo design and basic website build-out has flourished into one of our most valuable partnerships. Magnetic far exceeded any reasonable expectation from the start. It was immediately evident that the team Magnetic had the talent and capability to build an entire brand from scratch. The team took the time to dive deep with ownership to help uncover our vision and implement it into a comprehensive brand DNA. From there, Magnetic designed our amazing logo, product labels, and packaging for a wide ranging product lineup. Special care was taken in the advisement of materials to be used in the construction of product containers, labels, and packaging; all which set our brand apart in a crowded space - giving us the competitive edge it takes to succeed. Complicated tasks such as GS1 Code assignment was handled by the Magnetic team, allowing for ownership to focus on their attention to other pressing matters knowing with the utmost confidence that mundane, yet critical, tasks were being taken care of. A full build-out of an eCommerce site was executed by Magnetic, including all product renderings, studio shot photos, and fulfillment center connectivity complete with wholesale/dealer portal and inventory management. A comprehensive marketing strategy was proposed upon request complete reasoning backed up with accredited target market data. Budgets were set after discussions with the Magnetic executive team which made ownership incredibly comfortable moving forward from creative design into marketing and promotion initiatives. Magnetic’s team has experience navigating tricky advertising rules and regulations in our somewhat complicated business space, ensuring that our business avoided costly landmines that would set us back significantly if violated. In summery, I can tell you that without Magnetic Creative, It would have taken our business much longer and far greater cost, resources, and subsequent struggle to get to where we are now having partnered with them. I walk into every meeting with potential partners absolutely confident in our brand and products, most of which we have Magnetic Creative to thank for. If you choose to work with this team, you’ll get so much more than you’ll expect and are guaranteed to be given the tools to succeed from a partner you can trust.

I hired Bluestone because I wanted an app for my business that my clients could download and keep on their phones and I wanted a professional-looking website. They charged me $16k to make a progressive web app that does nothing for me. I don’t use it. I get complaints because the app doesn’t download as expected. They did a truly terrible job allegedly designing a site. Their idea of design was to apparently recycle old pages they had done for other companies and spice it up by writing the page name twice using two different looking fonts. Hiring them was the most significant waste of money since starting my business. This experience does, however, provide two silver linings. First, I learned a lesson that cost me only $16k so it could have been more painful. Second, I have ten years to sue them for breach of contract so I can wait until I’m not so busy to file my complaint. They appear to know the right things to say to look good in business. Accordingly, they may post a response that amounts to “we are sorry you are disappointed. Please contact us so we can work it out.” Don’t fall for that. I have asked to speak to their lawyers as well as their business leaders with no response. I have not seen any evidence that they intend to work anything out and I get the feeling that they couldn’t care less whether I am happy with the product since I have already paid in full.
