My commercial roofing company in Atlanta, GA, hired Dedicated Developers to develop an iOS app for our internal team to use to help during roof repairs, to better document roof issues prior to bidding for the job. I had the wireframes already completed and Dedicated Developers finished our UI designs and developed and successfully launched our app. We encountered a number of technical challenges as what I was asking has neven been done before in the industry and the team didn't give up until they were solved. The developers were collaborative and worked to ensure our app worked for all of our team members' devices. They also created a Master admin panel for our office. Now they’re working on making final adjustments and tweaks. Having this app has increased our internal efficiency by 37% and we’re able to elevate our customer experience and have much higher accuracy in quoting jobs than before we started using the app. The reception from our staff has been very positive. ChopDawg created the blueprints / prototype for our registry like app. Using Invision, they brought my ideas to life page by page & click by click. Communication with the team was phenomenal, they always got back to me within 24 hours, usually quicker! They listened to my needs and wants for the prototype. (When they had other suggestions we talked about any changes first but it was't until I was 100% that they would make the tweaks!)

I hired Bluestone because I wanted an app for my business that my clients could download and keep on their phones and I wanted a professional-looking website. They charged me $16k to make a progressive web app that does nothing for me. I don’t use it. I get complaints because the app doesn’t download as expected. They did a truly terrible job allegedly designing a site. Their idea of design was to apparently recycle old pages they had done for other companies and spice it up by writing the page name twice using two different looking fonts. Hiring them was the most significant waste of money since starting my business. This experience does, however, provide two silver linings. First, I learned a lesson that cost me only $16k so it could have been more painful. Second, I have ten years to sue them for breach of contract so I can wait until I’m not so busy to file my complaint. They appear to know the right things to say to look good in business. Accordingly, they may post a response that amounts to “we are sorry you are disappointed. Please contact us so we can work it out.” Don’t fall for that. I have asked to speak to their lawyers as well as their business leaders with no response. I have not seen any evidence that they intend to work anything out and I get the feeling that they couldn’t care less whether I am happy with the product since I have already paid in full.
