Lounge Lizard is a great company to work with! When we started looking for a website company to design our new website, Lounge Lizard's work spoke for itself plus they were very clear on the process. We looked at other providers, but the designs were elevated when it came to Lounge Lizard. The project process of getting the new site up with all the content was fluid. They use a great collaborative tool that made the process easy, and the meetings kept us involved and up to date with all edits. The finished product was exactly what we wanted. The team at Lounge Lizard are the best! Everyone we worked with was easy to work with and super helpful, even after production they still assist us when needed. We hired Dedicated Developers to help us build and design both hardware GPS sensors used in the transportation industry as well as the web application and mobile apps to monitor the sensors. The sensors connect the transportation sector to the Internet of Things (IoT). It was challenging to find developers that had the complete package of skills we needed for this project. Lots of companies had the software skills, but not very many had the hardware skills. We were thrilled when we found Dedicated Developers, because they were able to do both the hardware and software designing for us. The hardware they created are sensors used to monitor a wide variety of things for the transport industry. The sensors can monitor speed, acceleration, elevation, breakdown, GPS route coordinates, and then transmit all the data through the cellular network. Our clients can then see all the data points within the centralized application control panel to fully monitor their cargo. They did a lot of initial research and were able to suggest hardware components and sensors that would be the best configurations that would reduce the costs during mass production. They helped us figure out the best components that are reliable, durable and cost effective, so the total hard costs for each finished sensor goes down, and profits go up. They were able to bring the total cost of each unit down by 21%. They were creative while building the prototype sensors, which they were able to do quickly within a couple months. The software they created to run and monitor the sensors uses the latest cutting-edge technology, and connects our industry to the Internet of Things, which is fast, efficient, responsive and very well designed. The hardware sensors they created for us are top notch, and the monitoring software to run and monitor them has been very well received by our clients. It’s been able to make our company a cutting edge leader in our industry.

Initially, I received positive feedback and praise, being told that I was highly regarded and an exceptional employee at my workplace. However, to my surprise, just two weeks later, I found myself being terminated from my position. To make matters worse, I soon discovered that many other individuals I knew also faced a similar fate. Despite my initial hopes and the outward appearance of a great work environment, my actual experience at the company was far from enjoyable. Behind the scenes, I was enduring the most challenging period of my life. Looking back, being let go turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It became evident that the organization fostered an environment of toxic positivity, where conforming to their narrow standards was crucial, and anyone who didn't fit into their predetermined mold would be swiftly shown the door. Since my departure, I've come across numerous stories from others who have shared similar negative experiences.

I hired Kobe to write content for, redesign, and redevelop our ecommerce website. Kobe provided one, initial meeting with a few people who I did not work with again. Work was begun on the project by the content writer, who began describing the design in his content, which was posted page by page on Monday.com, which does not have revision or reviewing functionality. Kobe refused to begin the project with (industry-standard) wireframes, which would have provided a simple understanding of the two types of pages and messaging placement to both my team and theirs. Kobe next provided designs, via pdfs in email (i.e. no easy reviewing capability), that looked like simple template websites with no brand feel, according to many laypersons and professional web designers (and me too of course). At this point, with less than half of the work done, I cancelled the project. Kobe unethically did not refund money for the half of the project that was unfinished.

I picked Brand and Mortar due to their reputation, reliability and known resources in the community. We signed a contract in May of 2021, with my needs heavily outlined of building an extensive website with cutting edge plugins and a custom functionality. After numerous follow-ups, they were confident they could meet my needs and we signed. It was extremely pricy, but I knew because of the functionality needed, it was needed. Once the wireframes (website outlines) were approved in October (they looked amazing), it was a contracted 9 weeks until I had my website in hand. I was so beyond ecstatic. Glad I chose Brand and Mortar to create this for us. Well, December rolls around, I want to confirm I will have the website mid January and it's confirmed! My website will be live! Well, they forward the "finished" website and it's a joke. Is is nothing as contracted and then I get told they need more time. So we wait, then the next deadline gets pushed and continues to get pushed. I couldn't wait anymore when I can see they don't have the skills to create when they agreed upon. Up until this point, I've been waiting to hear back from the owner and he won't respond to my emails. The amount I have paid, for this quickly slapped together website is beyond ridiculous. They're communication is severely lacking, the professionalism was there, but slowly dissipated once they received my money. Their marketing background is where they should focus their business when website design is clearly not their expertise yet.

We wanted to promote our online courses with paid ads on Google, Facebook, and Linkedin. We were looking for a professional but affordable company that can create and manage ad campaigns for us. We were looking at other reviews (also on Clutch) which was not a good idea, I may say completely wrong because we feel they are mostly FAKE. We wanted to set up a clear ads strategy, let HTML Pro create and run our campaigns. 3 people from the vendor were involved. The outcome was ZERO! We've spent 2 months, paid 1,798 USD and our experience with HTML Pro was a nightmare. It was not just a waste of time but a waste of money too. The only "achievements" within two months time were: 1. Setting up Basecamp as an online collaboration tool 2. Dozens of e-mails sent back and forward 3. Two short video calls 4. Reminding us to pay the bills, while we paid already 5. Two shocking cheap examples of how Ads could look like 6. Fixing one little bug in our Google Analytics account Within 2 months' time, the HTML Pro Team was not able to set up our accounts on Facebook nor on Linkedin. No FB Pixel, No Linkedin Insight-Tag was installed nor working. Within 2 months' time, and spending 1,800 USD, the vendor still didn't understand our corporate identity, nor our strategy, nor our needs, no nothing. After two months we've stopped wasting our time and money. We've asked for a 50% refund because they didn't even achieve the first-month work promised. They refused it! We feel like we've been SCAMMED.

Riseup Labs sent us a pair of options before moving ahead with the green light and redesigning the mobile applications. Once that was done, they kept in touch with us every week to ensure the work they handed over during the sprints was exactly what we wanted. We had no problem contacting their team, and when we did, they would respond.

I feel morally obligated to write a bad review, because I had a bad experience with WFN and originally I couldn't find any bad review when I was first researching this agency before hiring them, so it was a no brainer. Initially WFN was hired to run a deep site audit before initiating long-term work, from the first contact to the end of the business relationship with WFN took around 1 month. In that month, a lot of time was wasted answering questions that showed lack of development knowledge from the manager (yellow flag), but I thought, not big deal, let's keep going. However, when they delivered their "deep site audit", it looked like it was written by a 12 year old with lots of mistakes, and issues about the sites that weren't real issues. Aftermath, the money was wasted, not a single development task got accomplished after 30 days. After that, I went to Upwork right away, hired 2 developer for HALF the price of WFN hourly rate, and the guys got almost all the tasks done in less than the time these guys wrote that low quality report. In other words, I don't recommend this agency. BTW. WFN if your are reading this. This is Leonard S. and the two developers I hired from Upwork didn't have ANY problem connecting the GIT to WPengine and deploying the sites locally, so you guys should probably consider hiring better developers.

STAY FAR AWAY! I used Searchberg for a few projects and let me explain the situation with one and why you should NOT work with the company. 

#1 Your project manager will always be in a meeting when you call, since the time I signed up with them, I have had 3 different project managers and the issue is the same, they will never be readily available when you call, then the receptionist will tell you that they will get a message over to them and they will call back but NO, they won’t call back they will send an email. They keep switching project managers, this says a lot already. 

#2 I purchased a website, with 1 year of maintenance, they should make it clear before you sign up that maintenance is NOT website edits, it's simply making sure your website is up and running (which doesn’t take much time or effort), and any further changes you may need, ex: need product, title change, price change, etc, will come at an extra cost. OK, fine, let's say I was aware of this and was okay with it, when it comes time for me personally to enter the WP backend to make my own changes, I can not access the entire backend because they used a paid theme and kept the credentials for themselves. So pretty much, to enter the backend of the installed theme that they purchased to create the site, I need the credentials for it, I asked them for it considering the website is MINE and I paid for FULL OWNERSHIP of it, they are requesting I pay to get the credentials for the theme backend. SO now, I am stuck in this circle where they tell me I need to pay for further edits or do the edits myself, then I try to do the edits myself, and OH! I can’t because I don’t have access to it. What a pickle. #3 Their communication is extremely poor and email responses take several days. #4 They do not provide any additional value. They won’t provide recommendations on how to make your website better, nothing. As a matter of fact, they literally do what you tell them and if you are not a website expert they will create a poorly designed site based on your requests when in fact, a trustworthy agency would give pointers as well as provide feedback on why certain things should NOT be done on your site. #5 They promise mobile-friendly sites and DO NOT produce it. I have requested over several weeks to have my website edited based on what I paid for, MOBILE FRIENDLY, and they ignore my requests. Do not do business with them.
