“Overcharged me” “Stole my idea and gave to a competitor and helped them build out my idea”.
I had a project for Swenson He to provide me with 20 designed screens for my mobile app prototype which I had predesigned for them. This project should have taken maybe a couple days, since there was no code being used to build these screens just a design program, instead it took them 4 weeks. Not only the duration but the price for this project should in my opinion have been maybe $200-300, instead they charged me $17,000!! In my opinion overcharged me with that outrageous price!! They took advantage of me not being very familiar at the time of how pricing for mobile apps works. The designs they provided me with were horrible with little to no effort on their part to make the designs nice. They have such amateur designers there that is was embarrassing to even let them touch my project with the lack of skill they have there. The owner Swenson tried reaching out to me after the completion of the project where I confronted him stating to him “how could this project be 17k”, in which he never had any answer, nor did he ever make things right.
Now the owner Swenson tried to pitch me his version of my mobile app, since he was interested in its functionality I had created for it, and the idea he pitched was a condensed, simplified version of my app, which would never work on the market and become a success because it’s limited functions, as proven true by my next point.
Because I didn’t like his idea at all and pointed it out, it would appear in my opinion that he violated the NDA and passed along my mobile app idea to one of his former MIT schoolmates, who happens to live in Marina Del Rey, where Swenson He’s firm used to be located, and he also was an engineer, because after Swenson finished my project I noticed that just 7 months later a mobile app that had entered the App Store which appeared to be a condensed version of mine, using my patented functionalities in that app. So I reached out to the owner of the mobile app and he explained and showed me in his pitch deck that Swenson He, not only invested in his company 150k but was helping build out the application as well. What are the odds that an idea for an app I had, which I shared with Swenson He, and not one single other competitor on the market was using this idea at the time, but yet this new app which is partnered with Swenson He has my patented functionalities in there? It would appear in my opinion that they stole my idea and gave it to a competitor and helped them build out my idea! In turn their app failed like I predicted, and they are lucky I haven’t taken legal matters on this yet.
I feel it is my obligation to warn everyone who might use this company about the practices they appear to be using. In my opinion they are lacking a lot of engineering skill as the mobile apps I have tried out, which they have created, were all very glitchy with many bugs and would crash a bunch of times. Yet they feel they are worth an amount of 400k to buildout my app, which was their estimate, which I refused after their atrocious performance on my designs. Stay away from this ridiculous company in my opinion.
