WONKY are an independent studio known for our lovingly crafted character animation and illustration.  Since 2006 we’ve brought together our highly experienced animators and collective of contemporary illustrators to produce bespoke, award-winning, BAFTA-nominated work. Charming character animation and compelling storytelling is at the heart of everything we do.  That’s how all our work, whether a commercial, short film, title sequence, TV pilot or digital content, is able to cut through and make an impact. 

By taking both a creative and strategic approach, our full service offering also produces results – for national and global campaigns alike.  From broadcaster to brands, charities to advertising agencies, we collaborate closely with each client to provide a more personal touch.  We believe we should feel more like your very own animation department.

In the rare moments that we get the chance, we also enjoy producing our own short films which have appeared in festivals across the world, picking up a variety of awards along the way.

Every brief is different. That’s why WONKY work across a diverse range of animation styles and are always experimenting whenever we can find the time.  By developing specialised animation approaches and then applying them to a wide range of illustration styles, we’re able to develop a truly unique visual style to fit each project.
