Hello, my name is Carl Underwood and I'm the Treasurer of a Non-Profit (501(c)(3)) community theater in Zanesville Ohio named Zanesville Community Theatre, Inc. I also maintain the ZCT Web Site as well as lighting and sound design for various shows in our space. Prior to finding and retaining Web Chick we went through a couple of versions of the website at www.zct.org at the hands of the local ISP (he used Front Page starting in 1997 when the domain was registered through 2007) and then at my hands continuing with Front Page until we hired a designer from out of state that came highly recommended but was quite slow and requiring a complete revamp of the site using Wordpress - it took about 18 months (started in early 2012 and finished mid 2013) and was VERY expensive. We wound up with pretty good bones but it was a site that was difficult to maintain. By the time the end of 2023 rolled around, I had had enough trying to maintain the wordpress site as well as dragging content out of our volunteer Directors and Producers and did a search for web designers within Ohio near Zanesville. I found several but the one I hit upon was Web Chick. I liked their philosophy and work ethic. I was intrigued by the promise of a 24-hour turnaround for modification and updates to the website and a yearly fee (renewal each year ) to cover initial development and updates. Plus checking to make sure we were still ADA compliant on a regular basis. Our new site was begun in January 2024 and was launched on February 20, 2024. Web Chick took our existing site of over 85 pages and turned it into a cohesive site made up of straight html that is mobile responsive and well designed. Web Chick's work also allowed us to merge our donation and sales pages that are hosted via TIX.COM into our new website. It's a work-in-progress but not nearly as stressful as our prior attempts - and much more professional than we could have achieved on our own! We should have done this years ago!
