What Makes Us Different?

Storytelling can be found anywhere in the world. In the sky, in the ocean and even in our backyards. Anyone can be a storyteller, kids, parents, grandparents; being able to tell the story the right way is the challenge.

Hi, I am Adam Garcia and I am a storyteller. I am on this path because storytelling is a big part of today’s culture as well as a bigger part of my life personally. Watching movies like Tombstone, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Titanic have really inspired my imagination as a child and inspired me to change the lives of people through the power of motion pictures. The magic of storytelling can change the mind of anyone who listens to the story. For example, my perspective on love was changed with “The Notebook”. My perspective on family was changed with “Soul Food”. My perspective on hard work was changed with “The Pursuit of Happiness”. Through storytelling, I learned how to live, love, work and become the man that I am today. Cinematography is the best way to tell a story, and that is what I am most passionate about. So passionate, that I could not wait to get started telling stories.

Cinematography is vital to visual storytelling. It is important for the cinematographer to know what looks best for what is trying to be conveyed. Imagine if Jurassic Park was shot by an amateur filmmaker instead of Steven Spielberg, if he did not know how to look for the correct shot, would the movie had been successful? What about Back to The Future? If anyone other than Robert Zemeckis was at the helm, would that still be one of the greatest trilogies of all time? If any cinematic value was sacrificed, would either franchise still be talked about today? Probably not. It is the job of the dedicated cinematographer to give the absolute best effort in everything they do whether it is working with the director in achieving the perfect shot or giving suggestions on how to light a scene to give a different mood. The role of the cinematographer is not just to shoot what they are told, they are also the guide, the mentor, the eyes behind the director’s head to help bring the vision to its full potential.

The imagination that has guided me throughout my childhood and as a business owner can be seen through my work. My eye for aesthetics and cinematography skills are best served through teamwork and hard work. The goal I set for myself every time I step behind that camera, to be the best I can be and to always strive to be better than industry standards. I am always asking myself, “Is this the best that it can be?”, and I will not be satisfied until I know my clients are satisfied so they can distribute the project to the world knowing that their crew performed to the best of their ability. Being a part of a team with people who think as I do can be a powerful force and has the ability to change the world as we know it. Are you ready to change the world?
