Since the onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic, cyber attacks on small businesses have increased in number and severity due to the transition to remote work. Today it is not enough to be just a regular managed IT service provider, and at MBC we understand it better than anyone! In 2020 we took IT management a step further by creating a dedicated security team. the Network Security Operations Centre, effectively becoming the original Security-First MSP in the Greater Toronto Area. The new team developed a unique security solution, a proprietary MBC EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), which is a combination of existing technologies and MBC's own expertise. This solution protects customer’s existing servers and does what a corporate antivirus software does not: helps prevent and contain Ransomware attacks, avoiding bigger damage and downtime to our customers.
