JP Media Works is owned by Jordan Popowich, a much sought after BIPOC filmmaker from Winnipeg. He is a graduate of the Digital Multimedia Design program at Red River College and he began his own production company - JP Media Works Inc in 2013.  The company specializes in independent film, documentaries, commercials as well as wedding cinematography and photography. 
He has filmed over 100 weddings throughout his career and was awarded Best Wedding Videographer in 2014 by the Canadian Wedding Industry Awards for his region. He also has an extensive portfolio of commercial projects with clients such as Rogers, Skip the Dishes, Travel Manitoba and many others. In 2021, his company was awarded as one of the best businesses in Canada by the Canada Business Review Board. 
His love of film has also led him to work on dozens of award winning short-form and feature length film projects during his career. He is currently working on a feature length documentary in Rwanda, on the transformation of the country since the genocide. 
His goal is to make an impact with his work and continue to create films with heart, humour and purpose.
