We filmmakers love to use that word because it takes our highly technological craft and relates it to something timeless and engrained in what makes us all human. Does every brand need video content created using 4K cinema cameras and a motion control system? Possibly. Does every brand have stories that, when told, could help them connect to the people they're trying to reach? Absolutely.
We believe the best way to tell these stories is through video—but so does every other video production company here.
What makes us different?
It starts before the camera roll. Every brand has stories worth knowing—that's true. But stories aren't always obvious. That's why we try to get familar with our brands—and their people—from day one. That's the "digging" we mentioned earlier. We find that the most obvious story to tell is rarely the one that makes the best video, so we tend to have a few "back to the drawing board" moments before we pack the van and roll the cameras.
We scale our productions to fit any budget, and almost any shooting location. Some productions call for a soundstage, three cameras, and a 14-person crew. Other times, we need to squeeze a greenscreen studio into a hospital conference room. Whatever the production needs, Five Five has the team and equipment to make it happen. Our adversion to the obvious carries over to production as well—we always look for new perspectives and visual ideas to make our work stand out.
In post-production, we combine what we've filmed with dynamic motion graphics, the perfect music, and whatever else it takes to create the most engaging, impactful work we can. Whether the finished work is 15 seconds or 15 minutes, we work closely with our clients—remotely, or in our editing facilities—throughout the post-production process.
Our goal is to create lasting partnerships with our clients, staying with them through growth, rebranding, and beyond. Many of our favorite clients have been with us since we started in 2014.
