What Makes Us Different?

I have nearly two decades of experience in graphic and web design. I’ve built almost every type of website you can imagine. I love both the creative side of design and the technical side of coding, as well as bringing the two together.

I’ve spent the last several years focusing on UX/UI design and building award-winning applications and websites for government entities. I then moved into a Project Manager position to learn more about the operational side of business, as well as improving how to manage teams and deliver customer service. Now I’m Director of Operations overseeing project management and help desk activities.

Frameworks, build tools, package managers, and source control are an invaluable foundation for my development workflow. Wire framing and prototyping services have also become regular tools in my arsenal, but I still prefer pencil, paper, code, a browser, and a rapid, iterative process to make the most cohesive experiences. The extensive and collaborative nature of our industry helps make me a better designer and developer with every article and tutorial I read (and I read a lot of them). Every project I undertake provides an opportunity to solve new problems, use new techniques, improve processes, and evolve my craft.

I’ve been doing freelance work my entire career and find the variety of projects gratifying. I’m effective at working remotely, and love the buzz of coffee shops and internet cafés just as much as my home office (I’m married and have three beautiful daughters!). Most of my freelance work is from repeat customers or referrals from past clients, largely thanks to the good fortune of maintaining relationships with a few select agencies and clients.

If you’re looking for a designer and web developer with highly proficient skills, meticulous mobile-first and responsive practices, and a friendly, open, and collaborative attitude – I’m your man.
