We Get It
On The Marc Media understands the daily struggle to break through what can be a mind-numbing, message-dumbing, schlock-filled media environment. We don’t surrender when the latest presidential tweet sucks all the oxygen out of the airwaves. We adjust our story-pitching strategies to fit both our clients’ needs and the media’s always-changing appetites.
We Know Media
On The Marc Media’s team has been on all sides of the camera, so we know what different media outlets want as they constantly reposition themselves to retain and gain audience share. We understand who values high-quality, fact-based news — as well as who prefers edgy angles and unique perspectives.
We’re Creative & Nimble
We create compelling messages, moving stories, and share-worthy insights and information. We are also masters at using social media to give old stories new legs. We eschew cookie-cutter, textbook, vanilla strategies and messages in favor of audience-attuned approaches that leave everyone involved saying, “Wow!”
We’re Strategic & Disciplined
Amid the daily din of media noise and reactive headlines, On The Marc Media helps clients navigate a steady course to keep their message focused, grounded and goal-based. We use a four-step process to make sure we stay strategic and disciplined in our approach:
In Phase 1, we focus on onboarding and discovery, defining quantifiable goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
In Phase 2, we conceive and develop strategies for achieving the client’s goals. We create a custom package from our service menu tailored to the client’s needs. The service menu includes public relations, branding/messaging, graphic design, advertising & SEM, social media, video production, websites & SEO, content marketing, event marketing, spokesperson & media training, and other services as necessary. We develop a personalized, dynamic plan reflecting strategies and tactics.
Phase 3 focuses on implementation and KPIs. We get going on specific deliverables and services.
Phase 4 is all about reviewing and refining what we’ve been doing. We assess progress quarterly, and adjust strategies and tactics as necessary.
We’re Results Oriented
While we cannot control the media’s choices and can never guarantee story placement or pitch acceptance, On The Marc Media is adept at positioning clients for optimal media success. For all of our work, we focus consistently on each client’s goals and KPIs, making sure that our efforts are on-target, on-message, and aligned with the client’s definition of success. Some clients actually want to stay out of the media, using other communication channels to achieve their goals. Whether our work is limited to branding, social media, or simply a one-time video, we collaborate closely with each client to deliver what they need — often helping them raise the bar on their overall marketing in the process.
We’re Highly Flexible
Some marketing and PR firms work only with large, well-established corporate accounts. We understand why: consistent cash flow is a wonderful thing. But we have a soft spot for the little guy, the underdog, the client who — no matter how big or small — needs to break out and try a new direction or overcome a vexing challenge. On The Marc Media has worked with a very diverse array of clients, from huge organizations like the American Heart Association to a longshot U.S Senate candidate. We’ve worked closely with a digital health company through its cycles of growth and consolidation. We’ve helped law firms and other client-based businesses reinvigorate and differentiate their marketing efforts. We’ve helped a California tech startup go from best-kept-secret to well-known-disruptor in its space. We’re every client’s biggest fan and booster — and we’re comfortable talking B2C, B2B and B2G all in the same day.
We Play Well with Others
Sometimes, partnering with other communicators offers the best path toward success for a client. We’ve worked with some clients who already have their own marketing or PR people — but they need some extra juice, a new perspective, or just a deeper talent bench to win their game. We know when to lead, when to follow, and when to stay out of the way. We’re smart enough to stay in our own lane, experienced enough to yell audibles when necessary, and collaborative enough to believe success should be an inclusive process rather than a competitive game of one-upping our team mates.
