As a freelancer, and a one person shop, my overhead is a lot lower than a full sized web design company. I work for myself, which means many of my projects will be priced more affordably yet the work quality still speaks for itself. The catch to this, is that I take on less work at a time. I typically work on only one project at a time so as not to over commit myself. This means turning away some clients when I am too busy. I am very responsive to my email, and get back to most requests and questions within a couple of hours. I only work with clients when I'm sure we'll be a great fit.
