First let’s clear up one thing, we’re not in the business of advertising. Sure, we say we’re a full-service ad agency, but that’s really just a frame of reference. The reality is much of what we do is rarely contained to just being in the form of advertising. Sure, we often produce radio, TV, billboards and other traditional forms of advertising; but, more often than not, we’re in the business of providing creative solutions. While these solutions can be represented in the form of traditional advertising, non-traditional forms of communication such as Facebook, Instagram, content/video generation, tradeshow and sales support materials have taken a bigger seat at the branding table.
Increasingly we’re asked to apply our creativity to solve other types of client problems—issues such as management wanting to build a culture that’s consistent with their brand promise or a restaurant client needing to simplify an online ordering app so the customer experience is true to brand.
