Backstory started as a bunch of Florida State Seminoles obsessed with sports and video. We all went to FSU, not meeting one another until after college. Fast forward to 2018. After traveling to Austin, TX about a dozen times for work we fell in love with the city and wanted to grow the group’s potential. We were working together full time, traveling across the globe and building the portfolio you see today. Austin, Texas could be our new hub for growth and a central location for all our travel. A home to refine our brand and make a name for ourselves.

In July of 2018 our team made the jump to Austin and hasn’t looked back.

We hadn’t branded ourselves prior to the move. We knew the name shouldn’t be forced but couldn’t quite put our finger on it. So we dug into our past. Florida State Graduates. College Football Fanatics. Music Lovers. Storytellers. What brought us together wasn’t hard to identify.

It was our Backstory.

The same place we develop characters. The root of every successful brand. What gets us out of bed in the morning isn’t just a celebration of the past–it’s knowing that the backstory is just the beginning. The rest of the story is yet to be told and it’s our job to tell it well. We know where we come from and love where we’re headed.
