Background: OpenGate was founded in 2003 on the principle that enterprise technology should be a driver and enabler of business growth. Our team of 18 consultants (all local to NY Metro) bring decades of CRM, ERP, BI, Data Analytics and custom development experience from both Big 5 consulting as well as Industry organizations. Our work across many industries, including Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, non-profit, Supply Chain and Professional Services provides us with a unique capability to problem solving and solutioning by bringing a breadth of business perspectives vs. a myopic single industry answer.
Salesforce Experience: OpenGate executed its first Salesforce project in 2007 with an organization attempting to replace a series of custom Access, Excel and manual “systems” and with a custom .Net application. We recommended against this approach as it would be costly, hard to scale and take longer than needed. We analyzed the market and selected the Salesforce Force.com platform to be the basis of the solution. The requirements for this solution included Project Management, Inventory Management, Time Tracking, and Budgeting. The project allowed them to receive a federal grant that doubled their delivery capacity. Then in 2012, OpenGate decided to focus 100% of our work to the Salesforce ecosystem. We have since expanded our skill sets to multiple Salesforce “clouds” as well as a several key ecosystem partners.
