UpCity 2021 Excellence Award Winners Are Here!
UpCity is excited to announce the 2021 UpCity Excellence winners at both the National and Local levels in the U.S. and Canada! Every year, we honor the B2B service providers that are best of the best, as measured by their UpCity Recommendability Rating. The UpCity Recommendability Rating is an assessment of how recommendable a service provider is in comparison to other service providers. It is derived from a variety of data points that are designed to help business owners find a partner that is the best fit for them, and one they can trust.
Over 100 National Excellence Winners made the cut between winners in the United States and winners in Canada. Additionally, there are over 400 Local Excellence Winners in major metropolitan areas in Canada and the U.S.
UpCity Reviews for a Cause
UpCity also runs a Reviews for a Cause campaign each year leading up to the Excellence Awards that benefit charities. For every review collected during the 2021 Awards period (January through March), UpCity contributed $5 to the Sayers Center for African American Adoption. Thanks to UpCity’s amazing partners and reviewers, UpCity contributed over $12,000 to the Sayers Center from the Excellence Awards Reviews for a Cause campaign this year.
In 1994, Chicago-area adoption agency The Cradle recognized the need to give expectant women of color a greater choice of adoptive families and launched its African American Infant Adoption Program. In 1999, the program was renamed in honor of Cradle adoptive dad, legendary Chicago Bears running back, and NFL Hall of Famer Gale Sayers and his wife, Ardythe.
The Sayers Center is one of the only programs in the country that promotes adoption awareness specifically within the African American community. The Sayers Center is near-and-dear to UpCity SVP of Product & Marketing Heidi Sullivan’s heart; she adopted her son David through the program in 2015.
“The collective impact of each of your reviews tremendously benefits the work of The Ardythe and Gale Sayers Center for African American Adoption at The Cradle,” shared Rachel Solomon, Development Director at The Cradle. “Thanks to contributions like these to the Sayers Center, The Cradle can help raise adoption awareness, specifically in the African American community. Your generosity advances The Cradle’s mission of building families through adoption, supporting families through life’s challenges, and strengthening communities through education.”
