UpCity is proud to announce that we are once again holding our National Excellence Awards for 2020!
Year after year the B2B services market becomes increasingly cluttered, making the partner selection process more difficult for business owners. In 2017, the UpCity Marketplace was created with the mission of helping create and empower better relationships between B2B service providers and the businesses they serve. To aid in that mission, we also developed the UpCity Recommendability Rating to help take the guesswork out of the selection process and our annual National Excellence Awards were spawned to celebrate the highest rated performers on our Marketplace.
What is the UpCity Recommendability Rating?
Our proprietary algorithm utilizes digital signals to gauge the trustworthiness and credibility of every provider on our Marketplace to help business owners choose the right partner with confidence. The UpCity Recommendability Rating is then used to rank and recommend the best service providers in each local market, as well as nationally.
UpCity Ratings are calculated based on 8 basic factors which impact how recommendable a service provider is:
- UpCity Profile Completion
- UpCity Engagement Rate
- UpCity Reviews
- Third-Party Reviews
- Presence in Search Engines
- Business Location Data
- Domain Authority
- Website Speed & Experience
What are the UpCity Excellence Awards?
Each year, the team at UpCity rates more than 35,000 B2B service providers on the Marketplace to determine the top 100 using the UpCity Rating. Those top providers represent the best of the best across North America and tend to consistently outperform their competition in terms of quality of service, presence across the web, and customer reviews.
2020 National Excellence winners will be announced in January and are open to any company with an active profile on the UpCity Marketplace.
How Can My Company Win a 2020 Excellence Award?
All providers on the UpCity Marketplace are eligible to win an Excellence Award. Starting today (until January 15th), companies can begin collecting customer reviews on their profile to help increase their UpCity Recommendability Rating. Winners will be announced on January 23rd.
While UpCity Ratings can’t be bought, but there are certainly ways to increase your chances of winning! Claiming and completing your UpCity profile, improving your presence in search engines, and providing the best possible user experience on your site will help increase your UpCity Rating, but gathering reviews on your UpCity profile is your best chance at improving your chances of winning.
Reviews for a Cause and the UpCity Excellence Awards
To help our providers incentivize their clients to leave a review, we’re bringing back our Reviews for a Cause campaign. From November 6th to January 15th, UpCity will donate $5 to Lemonade Day for each new review. So – get your reviews, people!
Lemonade Day is a non-profit organization that teaches children the power of entrepreneurship and assists them in starting, owning, and operating their own business (a lemonade stand!). So far, they’ve expanded their experiential learning program to more than 80 markets in 33 states in the U.S. and across 4 countries.
