We’re following up our recent updates on social with another strong release! UpCity customers can now invite their clients into the UpCity system and limit their views. Now our agency customers can easily offer Do-It-Yourself, Do-It-Together or full service packages with our system as the foundation. I’ve included a couple screen shots to illustrate the new functionality further.
Add New User Options
For ProPlus and Enterprise customers, you now have a new “Manage Team” view which shows the various team members and the roles that have been assigned to them.
There are now three different roles associated with an account:
Account Owner: The Account Owner is the individual that created the account and who ultimately pays for the account and the related features and services
Account Administrator: The Account Administrator is an individual that has the same access to the account as Account Owners. Therefore they have access to all campaigns, Sales Tools, billing functions and all other account administrative items. All team members in UpCity are currently defaulted to this option.
Campaign User: Campaign Users are individuals that are limited to the campaigns to which they have been assigned, and have no access to Sales Tools, Account Settings, billing functions, or any add-on or upgrade functionality. Campaign Users are also unable to add or modify tasks, or see or manage any task assignments.
As shown below, when adding or editing users, the Account Owner can now choose between the Account Administrator and Campaign User roles. When choosing the Campaign User role, the Account Owner can then choose each campaign to which the user can see.
The “Campaign User” Experience
Once you have designated a Team Member as a Campaign User they now only see the campaigns that have been assigned to them. They also do not see Billing information or have the ability to add campaigns or do upgrades. We’ve also removed Sales Tools and don’t allow them to add or edit tasks in the system or assign tasks back to anyone. Here is a quick snapshot below of a Campaign User’s Manage Campaigns area.
We’re just starting down the path of various user roles and responsibilities so please let us know if you have any feedback around roles we haven’t defined yet. We wanted to start with this piece of functionality first and then build upon it based on user feedback.
