Having a way for customers to find your business online is critical to success in the modern world, and DexKnows is one of the internet’s best online directories. However, listing your business on DexKnows can be confusing if you are just getting started. Fortunately, you can simplify the process by understanding what DexKnows is and how to list it properly.

What Is DexKnows?

DexKnows is an online directory for businesses of any size and type. A listing on DexKnows includes listing automatically on Superpages.com. Previously, being listed on either site was as simple as filling out a form online, and your listing would be submitted. As the world of internet marketing has grown more complex, DexKnows has sought to increase employee-customer interaction by allowing each representative to create a customized plan of services for your business needs.

Navigate to the DexKnows Listing Area.

You can access the DexKnows listing area through two different pathways.

    1. Go to DexKnows.com.
    2. Click on the “Advertise” link at the bottom of the screen.

    1. Click on large, blue “Online Business Listings” on the left side of the landing page.

Review Package and Ranking Options.

Although DexKnows may combine different packages and services, there are three primary packages for how you want your business to be listed on DexKnows. Each higher-tiered package includes all the benefits of the lower-tiered packages. A breakdown of each packages benefits includes the following:

  • Free Package – This package lists businesses on DexKnows.com and Superpages.com in local city search results. You will be able to create a standard business profile and respond directly to reviews posted about your business.
  • Basic Package ($35.00 Monthly) – This package includes preferred ranking on DexKnows.com and Superpages.com, a geographic search area for your business, placement of your business in up to five categories, an enhanced business profile, distribution to DexKnows partner networks, and reporting tools.
  • Premium Package ($50.00 Monthly) – Subscribers of this package can take advantage of included call tracking and an estimated number of annual actions to improve targeting to your business’s website.

Preferred ranking increases the relevancy of listing when a customer searches for your business in DexKnows. For example, businesses with identical or similar names may appear in the search results. If you have a package that includes preferred ranking, your business will be listed above the competitors.

Since both the “Basic Package” and the “Premium Package” include preferred ranking, final rank is determined by how thoroughly your profile is filled out. In other words, make sure to include all information within the enhanced profile in order to give your listing the best chance of being above other competitors who also subscribe to the “Premium Package” or the “Basic Package.”

Contact DexKnows.

After you have reviewed the package options, you will need to contact DexKnows. You have two options for contacting DexKnows. You may want to fill out the online contact form here, or you can call DexKnows directly at 1 (844) 339-6334. If you opt to fill out the contact form, a representative from DexKnows will contact you at your convenience. This eliminates wasted time spent while on hold.

Consider Other Advertising Options.

DexKnows is part of DexMedia, which offers a variety of advertising options. During your initial consultation, the representative will discuss what you hope to accomplish and provide you with details about the cost of advertising through DexMedia.

It is important that you thoroughly research all other advertising possibilities outside of DexMedia before making a final selection. In addition, you may qualify for discounts or reductions in cost by simply negotiating with the representative. Of course, you are not under any obligation to purchase additional advertising through DexMedia, and you can continue on with the Free Package.

If you have thought about getting a listing on Yellowpages.com, the process is exclusively through an online contact form, and you will still need to verify your listing on DexKnows afterward. As a result, it is simpler to get listed on DexKnows directly and use a higher-tiered listing package to be listed on all partner sites of DexKnows.

Access Your Dashboard, and Build Your Profile.

After speaking with a representative and selecting your package, you will receive an email to verify your email address and finalize your account. In the email, you will need to click on the verification link, which is unique to each new user of DexKnows. You will be asked to create your login credentials, and you will then be redirected to a Dashboard.

The dashboard contains all of the information and links to access the different parts of the package you selected. Initially, you will create your profile. If you have selected the “Free Package,” you may be limited on what information can be added. For example, you will not be able to add your hours of operation to your profile as part of a “Free Package.”

Verify Your Listing Displays Correctly.

After you have completed your business profile, you will need to submit the information for a final review before it is officially listed. You will receive a notification when the listing is live. To verify your listing, log out of your dashboard completely. Navigate to DexKnows.com, and type in the name of your business and your location. Once the listing results appear, click on your listing. This is your opportunity to double-check all information for completeness and accuracy.
