Question One: I’ve heard my web designer talk about the WordPress update. Is it worthwhile to look into for my site?
Our Response: WordPress announced a new release in mid December. A few quick highlights to its popular CMS (contest manAgement system) are listed below:
- Introduced a new layout design and smooth, modern look
- Faster and more accessible on mobile devices
- Better management of themes
- More color schemes
WordPress 3.8 is available for download now. If you are not completely familiar with WordPress, we recommend sticking with an older version and waiting until some reviews are published about the update before delving right into the change. We look forward to learning more about WordPress 3.8!
Question Two: I noticed images are showing up in my Gmail account, and I don’t have to approve this feature anymore. Why is this occurring, and is it safe?
Our Response: Until December 12, Gmail protected users from insecure images and always asked permission from users to open images. With its new update, Gmail now automatically and safely displays images in your emails through their secure servers. By displaying images in your email messages, Google confirms that email will continue to work fast, be more secure, and provide a better user experience.
