Question One: I don’t have time for write for my blog everyday. Would it be best to hire a third-party to write content for us?
Our Response: As we’ve established in the past, writing good content takes a lot of time and effort that not many people can invest. If you’re a small business owner, chances are you aren’t spending the time to write the content yourself (if you are, awesome job!). In this scenario it may be best to invite an outside source in to write for your business blog. Of course, with any new work relationship, you don’t want to take this lightly.
If you decide to outsource your content, please consider these three guidelines.
1. Be very clear in the messaging you want the writer to convey.
If this writer is going to be writing content for your blog, be very clear in the messaging you want him or her to convey. Any slight miscommunication could hurt your business’s reputation. Establish the writing voice properly and things should go quite smoothly.
2. Be firm on when post go live.
This is a moot point, but just to be sure, don’t accept lateness. It can create a bad presence for your relationship going forward if you don’t keep tabs on your writer.
3. Double-check the writing.
Go over the grammar, spelling, and formatting of all posts written by your content writer. This will tell you how the writer crafts posts and this tells the writer how you want your posts to read.
Question Two: Can you give us some insights on the new Facebook Events tools?
Our Response: Simply put, Facebook Events has updated its visual presentation, as well as providing insights and analytics on how many people viewed the event, are attending, and so on.
You can also advertise your events in the News Feed, giving them more visibility and potentially more attendees. We certainly hope your business benefits from these new updates!
