Question One: How do I find out what the best keywords for my business industry?
Our Response: The best keywords are often long-tail phrases with medium-to-low competition in the space. However, we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves. First, we need to understand what your audience would search for in order to get to your product or website. If your target audience would go to your site for information, brainstorm keywords that match their intentions. Keywords in this context usually start with “best ways to x” or “how do I x?” These types of phrases are usually very specific, giving you more insight into the minds of the consumer.
Other ways to find good keywords include attaching geographical modifiers to your targeted terms. Many location-specific terms aren’t often the radar of much larger competitors, resulting in a gold mine of opportunity for SEO if you’re a local business.
Question Two: Tell me more about the Twitter ‘Buy Now’ feature that’s coming out.
Our Response: Twitter is finally opening its doors to ecommerce! According to Search Engine Journal, Twitter has finalized its deal with Stripe in order to incorporate tweets that allow your customers to make purchases through Twitter without ever leaving the app. Furthermore, it’s a terrific opportunity to advertise your products and services for purchase.
We’re not entirely sure when the feature will become available for businesses to use, but rest assured it will be a tremendous advantage to your business as you structure transactions through social media.
