Our Response: That’s a question most marketers are trying to answer! We’ll of course give it a shot.

To get to the top spot in Google for your selected keywords, it’s most likely going to just take time. It can take many backlinks, articles, and promotional pieces to get the ball rolling. Our advice if you’re just starting up: keep creating relevant content, building your backlinks, and encourage your customers to write positive reviews on Google+, Yelp, and other review platforms.

Also take note of your competitors. How are they faring in the search engines? Do some keyword research on their domains to get an idea of what kinds of sites are linking back to them. You can also use this method to find good link-building opportunities for your site.

Another way is to simply outsource your SEO work. It’s a tough job getting ranked for specific keywords, but you can still get pretty close if you ask for an expert’s assistance.

The platform is expected to reach more than 400 million users by the end of 2014. With this many potential customers at your disposal, your business can influence a meaningful chunk of the market.

3. You get a boost in traffic, both socially and through search.

This goes without saying, but the better you perform in social media for your targeted keywords (hashtags), the more likely you’ll rank higher in search.
