Question One: We feel it is difficult for eBay to get more traffic for our store. Could you provide any easy tips?

Our Response: Hi there! Public marketplaces like eBay and Amazon can be quite a large competitive platform for small businesses. We provided some quick and easy tips below for beginners to gain more exposure and traffic:

  • As an eBay seller, you will want to ensure you are selective with your keyword phrases. These keywords will be used to promote your products and websites.
  • Pay attention to your similar competitors and what they are doing to gain clients.
  • Make sure your listing title is optimized with targeted keywords for the products that you are selling.
  • Spend time writing detailed quality product descriptions, and include keywords in the descriptions.
  • Send out regular, engaging emails to your customers and followers.
  • Maintain your social media accounts, especially on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. With these profiles, you are able to gain followers, converse with customers, answer questions, advertise new added products, promote auctions, etc.

Question Two: I’m having trouble getting a subscriber to view our newsletter correctly. Any help you could provide would be appreciated!

Our Response: We know this situation can be frustrating for businesses. If you are finding that your email subscribers receive the newsletters in an odd format, we suggest a few strategies.

  • First, you may want to have them reach out to their IT department or directly whitelist the mailing IP address.
  • In addition, ask them to check their email viewing settings and SPAM folders.
  • The subscribers can always view the email in any web browser for the time being.
  • It is always important to test out the email before sending it out to your subscribers. Send out a couple test emails to team members. Mail applications often offer inbox inspections to ensure the newsletter will pass through popular email applications.
