Question One: Can you highlight when to post bold and strong tags? Could I use them both on one page?

Our Response: There is not much of a difference between bold and strong tags in your content. These tags create a presentation modification or emphasize a specific text in a group of content. As recently outlined by Matt Cutts in a video post, both <strong> and <b> tags have similar SEO impact in the search results and you don’t need to worry too much about which type is better to use in your content for search purposes.

Question Two: What is the best way to delete our Google Places listing for my closed company?

Our Response: To close or update a Google Places listing, you will first need to find it on Google Maps. Then, click the “Report a Problem” link and click “Place is permanently closed.”

Note: If your business has changed locations, use the comment box to provide the new address.

Question Three: What else do I need to do to increase my Google rankings among my fellow heater services competitors? I’ve not yet created backlinks for my site.

Our Response: We recommend being more proactive with the tasks in your UpCity account. Ideally, optimizing your online presence on a consistent basis will increase your rankings over time and bring sales to your heater business.

We also want to suggest that you list your business on the major local directories, like Google, Bing, Yahoo!, and Yelp. Local customers are much more likely to find your website when looking through these databases, and your presence here will also enhance your real estate on the search engines.
