Question 1: How do I know if my website is listed in Google?
Our Response: When your website is listed in Google, this means that it is found and included in its large search database of websites.
To check if your site is indexed in Google, you can complete a quick search by entering one of the following URL algorithms in your search bar: “site:enteryoursite.com” or “site:www.enteryoursite.com.” If you see a list of results, you will know the website is indexed. Another option to check if your website is indexed is using your free Google Webmaster Tools account.

Question 2: When we asked the person who built our website to fix some problem, he dismissed us. We don’t have access to our site as well as the hosting. We don’t know what to do about this issue. If you have any suggestions, we would be happy to receive them.
Our Response: We completely understand why your business is frustrated. The website does not seem to load when we tried to access it, so we first recommend contacting your hosting provider. Provide your billing information will hopefully allow the host to reset the system and provide you with access to the website. As soon as you get into the site, change all current log-in passwords. For some people, you should also check it is only your own computer that’s not able to enter the website. Your site could be blocked by a specific software, while other people may be able to enter it easily.
As a best practice: It’s important to be careful and ensure that your business has full access to your website. When looking for a high quality and reliable web developer or graphic designer to help with your website, don’t think twice about saying no to a company that will not allow you to enter the site at anytime. You should be able to have full access.
Question 3: Does using capital letters and punctuation marks affect my keyword rankings?
Using capital letters will not affect rankings as the search engines will treat both upper case and lower case the same. Typically we recommend using lower case letters if you’r going to choose one. Punctuation marks should be avoided as these will not match typical search queries from users.
