Question 1: I’ve read about those new embedded Facebook posts but am not able to figure out how to complete it yet. Could you provide some help?

Our Response: Recently, Facebook announced the launch of emebedded posts. This feature is a request people have been asking about for a while now. Embedding will allow you to publish public Facebook posts on other websites. If a post displays a public globe icon, this indicates it can be shard outside of Facebook. However, this functionality is not yet available to all Facebook accounts. Stay tuned for updates on when embedding will be available for business users.

Question 2: What is the significance of canonical links on my website?

Our Response: If your website has duplicated links, canonical links are one strategy to help with this issue. They indicate that the content is original and of quality. They also indicate the preferred, valued text that you want indexed on the search engine. You can point out the selected pages by adding canonical links to the <head> section of your webpages. Depending on your CMS, plug-ins are available that help create these tags to place on your domain. Question 3:  A client purchased some separate SEO help. During the past couple of months, we have seen a number of attempts from different IP addresses trying to hack the site, All of these addresses are international. Could these backlinks be an issue?

Our Response: UpCity members can read the answer to many other SEO inquiries in the UpCity Ask the Expert Help Center. Members are encouraged to ask their own online marketing questions for their business, and our inbound marketing experts are on call to respond to all those questions.
