Question 1: Should my website by optimized for all browsers? I’ve not heard of a specific browser that someone is not able to use to get into my site. Is it really worth spending the time looking into and fixing? I am a one-man shop. Thanks!
Our Response: We recommend ensuring your website successfully works on a majority of browsers. Unless there are extreme exceptions, the large ones like Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari should be included in this group. Please check your website’s “look and feel” on not only the most recent version of these browsers, but also the past two updated versions.
Question 2: How important are Alexa rankings nowadays for local businesses? Should I be paying attention to this theory more than I am right now?
Our Response: Alexa ranking serves as a tool to gauge competitors positions in the market. The number is relative and not absolute. Nowadays, an Alexa count does not weight into SERP rankings nearly as much as other factors. However, Alexa remains an accurate way to check the popularity and traffic level of a website. Usually, this number equates to a combination of page views and reach for a given period of time.It is sufficient to use this metric for evaluating competitive positions but there is no need for local businesses to worry about any other implications.
Question 3: I want exact language to load my XML sitemap via the FTP process. How can I find that?
