What makes me different?
His attention to detail, and his larger sensibility of how a digital presence can be used to support and enhance other marketing efforts. We're a new organization and his years of experience really helped us off to a powerful start.
How complicated digital marketing is. But Alex was a pro and helped a bunch of newbies through the process step by step.
Highly recommend for those seeking a knowledgeable, experienced professional. Alex is not your guy if you just want to cut and paste from your old website. When you are ready to have a serious, hard-working digital presence that drives your business forward in new ways, and work with someone who not only has an eye for design but also understands the arcane mysteries of SEO, contact him ASAP.
Alex worked with me at every phase from initial concept, to layout, to helping to fine tune and select content for striking and engaging sites that are informative for our audience as well as useful.
Hi droll sense of humor. Actually, let's put that in the plus column as well.
I've had the pleasure of working with Alex Wright on two websites now and can give my highest recommendation. At the outset, we have a good conversation about the goals of the project and develop a concept for the final project. Alex then delivered an accurate scope of work, that sets out expectations for final project and assigns responsibilities for the deliverables. We worked well throughout the process and were able to meet all target benchmarks and dates resulting in the completion of projects on time and on budget.
Alex is incredibly thorough in his approach to web design and tenacious in the details. He took care in capturing our site priorities (why we wanted a new site, what works for us/what doesn't, what drives our traffic, etc), offered several options for style and layouts along the way, and consistently delivered elegant UX solutions when we threw in complicated navigation requests.
I can't say that we had any issues with Alex or his work -- he was always professional, organized, and on track, throughout the highly collaborative process.
We came to Alex looking to build a completely fresh website for our business after years of using generic third-party services. Alex took the time to walk through our extensive wish list of features, understand our priorities, and provided effective, efficient options to achieve our goals. He constructed clean, well organized layouts; rich, meaningful SEO; and an enticing UX. In addition to his impressive technical expertise, his extensive photography and graphic design background meant a pixel-perfect finish on every page. On the few occasions we requested a feature he hadn't previously tackled, Alex dove into research without hesitation and quickly delivered a masterful solution. Though he's quite capable of running solo, our particular needs required editorial collaboration. Every interaction was a pleasure and an education, and ultimately he provided excellent training for us to confidently manage our site moving forward. I would absolutely recommend Alex for anyone seeking a social launch or web revival -- he's a consummate professional at the top of his game.
Alex has a trained eye for powerful and well composed imagery and knows exactly how to use images on a web page or in social media to capture the attention of the one-clickers. He designed and manages our two web pages and all of our social media. His attention to detail and to keeping track of customers keeps us right where we want to be. In addition, he has proven himself an adept and efficient researcher, both on our competition and on the future of our industry. He writes and edits blog posts as well as longer position and white papers.
Alex is a ten. I liked everything that he has done for us. He's attentive, fast, efficient, organized, creative, dedicated, and enthusiastic. What I like least is that he won't come to work for us full time.
I have to tell a story here. About six years ago Alex and I were talking about things. I'd known him for years, even before he founded and then sold his first company, Dripbook. He told me our web site was lame (not his words), and that I should give him a chance to show me what he could do for our sales if we hired him to design a new site and manage our social media. Five and a half years later we are on top of Google's list of searches in our industry and currently experiencing our first ever capacity challenge.
Alex helped us refocus and re-envision the scope of the redesign so that it would reflect our priorities within the bounds of what was sustainable, maintenance-wise. That makes it sound like he just narrowed down our ideas, but he expanded some of them too!
I can't think of anything. Alex's ideas were good, the process was straightforward, his rates were reasonable, and the product was delivered as promised.
Alex guided the conversation so that it was driven by what we wanted the website to accomplish rather than what we wanted it to look like, and let the aesthetics be driven by the purpose. Not that the appearance was unimportant--the makeover he gave the site really captures the look and feel of the event we produce! He also added some automation so that the site is lower maintenance than before, and suggested an interactive feature that has succeeded wonderfully. The feedback/iteration process was quick and painless, and the site is far more effective now.
As our business grows our website must too. I've had to update/upgrade my website several times over the years and by several different companies. That's the frustration you have when you have your website updated by designers and marketing companies. Not with Alex! Up front, as a company owner, I do not have enough time to deal with minor techniques and adjustments that come into play when designing a website. Alex takes this out of the equation. He'll first sit with you, and the guy really does his research in getting emerged inside your industry and field of expertise, that's absolutely critical in getting your message across. Remember, you have about 12seconds to impress your target audience, this is where it counts and this is where Alex is above the fold better than any other in my opinion.
Understandably, with budgeting and time constraints, Alex may not be able to write all of your site's content, but he does work with you from an open customer's perspective to make sure your message is getting across in the best possible way it can.
Simple - Simple - Simple.....I cannot stress, you deliver a great product/service to your customers and he'll work with you to keep your site Simple - Simple - Simple....you only have 1 shot at this, why go with anyone else!
Alex's work looks incredible. He did a really good job of selecting images, video, and color schemes that work together well.
You have to pay for quality! We didn't have enough budget to do a big project, and Alex did his best to meet us in the middle. We would have liked to do more, but just didn't have the extra marketing budget.
Alex built a great website for one of our clients. He helped us fine-tune the message as well as how we might integrate adwords and other paid digital advertising. The end product looks really good, and our client was happy. It's a simple website with a few pages, and it has a very clean, professional look.
