Question One: What kinds of posts should we be doing for Facebook?
Our Response: Great question! This all depends on what kind of community you hope to cultivate on your Facebook page.
The slightly larger small business that aims to generate a more personal feel can include office photos showcasing the everyday activity of the workplace. Similarly, if your business is product-centric (restaurants, retail, etc.) you can share photos of different items that can be purchased by the customer.
Also, don’t forget about posting text updates and other forms of media! Videos, GIFs, and the simple text post can also be utilized. Again, this all depends on the community you want to cultivate. Ask questions, deliver polls, post quotes, and share links. Figure out what drives the most engagement for your particular audience. Experiment!
Question Two: How do I make better email campaigns so that subscribers share or spread the word about my email list?
Our Response: For your email list to become worthwhile, you have to share content that is exclusive to the list. If you sharing blog posts to your list is all well and good, but it then only serves as an extension of your blog. To bring in more people to your list, add value to it. Create an ebook or a white paper and make it solely available by signing up.
It will take a bit of work, but it’s very possible to create at least one email a month that adds significant value to your subscribers. Generate some ideas, test them out, and make them count!
